Vegan Sushi Bar
Trend Forward Activation, Pop-up Store & Online Marketing

For The Vegan Sushi Bar, I was responsible for creating the full visual concept for their pop-up store and online marketing strategy. The goal was to deliver a fresh, engaging brand experience that reflected their sustainable values and bold personality.
Scope of work:
– Menu design
– Flyers & banners
– Branded interior visuals for the pop-up
– Social media content (e.g. memes, quotes, product highlights, promotions)
The campaign was a great success – not only did the brand gain significant traction online, but the in-store visuals helped create a unique, recognizable identity. The client was extremely satisfied and offered me multiple follow-up projects. To this day (3 years later), many of the original materials are still in use – a true sign of timeless, effective design.

Branding & Social Media
After the succesfull pop-up event. I decided to do more for Vegan Sushi Bar. I knew they wanted a hip and modern branding, they wanted buzz. My mission was to craft a fresh, future-proof look and feel that spoke directly to modern, eco-conscious diners aged 18-38. The solution combined bold 3-D visuals, playful copy, and a tightly targeted social strategy.
1. Discovery & Audience Research
Before designing a single pixel, I conducted a lean but focused study to map VSB’s ideal communities:
Segment | Key Insights | Oppurtunities |
---|---|---|
Millennials & Gen Z food explorers | Love health-forward, sustainable choices they can flex on socials. | Make the brand selfie-worthy and meme-friendly. |
Vegetarians, vegans & flexitarians | Demand animal-free options without losing flavour or presentation. | Showcase guilt-free indulgence and behind-the-scenes ingredient stories. |
Health-driven consumers | Track macros, avoid additives, chase clean energy. | Highlight high-protein rolls, vitamin-rich toppings, and nutritional facts. |
Foodies & IG creators | Constantly hunt for “most Instagrammable” plates. | Lean into colour, plating theatrics, and ultra-shareable animations. |
Active athletes (18-40) | Want meals that fuel workouts and aid recovery. | Position sushi as the plant-powered performance boost. |
These insights shaped every design and copy choice, ensuring relevance and resonance.

2. Creative Concept
Brand personality – “Bold, plant-powered, guilt-free fun.”
Visual language – Neon greens & creams, fluid 3-D roll renders, kinetic typography.
Tone of voice – Conversational, cheeky, “You + Us = zero-guilt sushi.”
Experiential goal – Turn ordering sushi into an interactive, share-worthy moment.

3. Deliverables
Channel | Key Assets |
---|---|
Pop-Up Store | • POS-format banners |
Social Media | • Carousel posts, Reels, and meme templates with looping 3-D sushi animations |
Playbook | • Mini content calendar (30-day sprint) |
All visuals were delivered in formats the team could update themselves—ensuring longevity.
